Are you seeing a climb in current to the finals also? If so I'd tend to agree 
with Mike that it's probably a mismatch that the transistors don't like and 
they're warming up. Might try backing the voltage down and deliberately 
running a lower current. If the same thing happens at lower voltage/current 
that would point different directions than if it only happens at higher 
voltage/current.
