That reminds me...the receivers John tested for this series includes ones he 
owns and several that have been loaned to him for testing.  The IC-R75, for 
instance, is Bill Bowers' receiver.  All total, there are only 12 radios in 
the series, and a fair percentage of them are professional and military gear 
(Racal, Harris, Eddystone, CEI, etc.) that you can find on ebay from time to 
time, but which are not all that commonly found in the hands of hams.  If 
anyone has any interesting but more conventional radios they could spare for 
a few days of testing, please let me know off-list while John still has all 
his test apparatus set up.  This could make for a very useful online 
database!
