[Lowfer] Makeshift lowFER receiving antenna

Lee , I use "ugly construction" on mine . I am afraid of using glue , since 
with the extremely limited use of my hands I don't want to go through life 
with one permanently attached to my fingers . <grin>

 I'll try to get a picture of the one that I am working on right now , 
posted to the photo section on the part15 group in just a little while . 
Mine also uses a J-310 .

I use a short CB whip with mine .

I also have a lot of RG-6 so that is what I use also .

Lyle did the original design of the Jackson Harbor Press , kit and I have 
built several of them from scratch and given them away to friends . I too 
used one for a while and for the price they do a decent job , but you can 
easily home brew that also .

However like Jim said with the active antenna and an FT-857D and an
FT-897D , that I have access to in our EOC , they do a FANTASTIC job !!
