Andy , When Laurence was here in Oklahoma , he set many records with his
part 5 station .

He was very handy to have on both 2200 meters and 1750 meters as a
"neighbor" at about 35 miles from me .

He was great to use as a "test lab" for my lowfer beacon . When his grabber
was on 1750 meters , I could literally watch as I made changes .He is the
one most responsible for me getting the optimum setup here for transmitting
on the lowfer band .

It saved on the electric bill here too , since I could light my house with
his 2200 meter
signal . <grin>

He was a perfect source to calibrate my equipment for monitoring on 137 kHz.

He also gave me a great test source to evaluate my filters and pre amps for
that band . I was able to optimize my 137 kHz. receiving system .

I also now have first hand experience with a super station near me and still
being able to copy the other stations on the band .

I hope that he moves back to the same location and is able to get back on
the air so I can do some more experimenting . I for one welcome a very high
power station as a neighbor !! You can see the real world results
immediately of changes that you make .
