[Lowfer] Amrad up converter for rx and tx

At Dayton I picked up a set of circuit boards for the Amrad up converter
 from FARCIRCUITS. Cost is $13.95.
The three board set consists of;
1power supply
2. mixer and oscillator board
3 lowpass filter
Article describing this project appeared in April 2002 QST. The converter
 can be used for transmitt by moving the lowpass
filter from the input to the output and feeding a 0dbm signal in. Any
 exciter with a dummy load and attenuatior could be used.
I plan to pair mine with a Softrock rxtxv6.2 SDR tranceiver, though now
 out of production there are newer versions at a very reasonable
price. Another thought I had was to use a SSB CB rig for the exciter. With
 27.000 injection and Channel 19(27.185) one could have 
ssb on 185khz. A 300 hz tone would give 185.300 khz.
