My slowest connection is at work with the 125 KBps download. At home
the 3 MB cable is very respectable. And I wonder since you mention it,
I use SpyBots Tea Timer, and Resident IE protection at work. It is
always looking for an intruder. That may be what's killing my speed
there, and I do most of my eBay looking while at work. I'll disable
it and see what happens.

Peter B.  you found a good thing to do. I set my IE6 from the advanced
tab to automatically delete cookies, and history when I close the 
browser. That dosen't totally guarantee that everything is clean, so
an occasional manual cleanout of the TEMP, Temporary Internet Files,
Recent, and History folders ( found in the Windows folder in 95 / 98 )
will help keep the machine running better. In XP, those files are
found in the Documents ans Settings folder in Drive: C. If you haven't
done so, you'll need to set the View folder option to; View hidden
files and folders first or you won't find them.
