I have a dsl here and eBay is the sloooooest vendor site -- of all. Too much graphics, me think. Bloated plus. My bad story: I was in a bid and down to 3min whenI decided to up the bid among others. The confirm page took minutes, then nothing came back for maybe 5min, when I found I won. Still not a nice experience. But gee, PayPal sure glides quickly. Someone got it right.

To do any seriuos lurking on the bay I travel to the library where the pages fly better there. 

Hoping to improve thruput, I deleted both IE cookies and files, found means on the Tools page. That took over 1/2hr. Just imagine the bulk of that stuff the browser dumps on one's HD. Too much junk. Well, after that purge it seemed quicker. I know the HD was lighter.

Actually, I enjoy the eHam.net and QTH.com sites better.
