Quiet in the sense that no lowfers have been seen for over a week here
(save for MP and EAR, which are doing fine even in daylight with an
e-field probe and SDR-IQ). Not quiet in that thunderstorm activity has
been the norm, but the lightning maps at
http://thunderstorm.vaisala.com/explorer.html have been clear for
hundreds of miles on occasions. NDB reception hasn't been too bad - for
example, RYN, 338 kHz at 2300 km has been fair copy. VLF reception
hasn't been bad either - NWC, 19.8 kHz in Australia and DHO38, 23.4 kHz
in Germany coming throuogh at times, along with the "big 4" Navy
transmitters. Looking forward to the return of months with the letter
"r" in them.
