I just visited the Pongrance web page and the first pre production model of the General Coverage , DDS Controlled Communications Receiver , ( 100 kHz.- 11.0 MHz. ) is presently up for auction on that watery place . (Assembled)

It does not include the DDS-VFO , but he states he is planning on offering the two kits , ( RX + VFO ) , for well under $100 as a kit .

I don't see any SMT devices in the receiver kit and there was only one on the DDS-VFO board as I remember .
