Andy,

No, I haven't tried the built-in experimental filter. By that I assume 
you're referring to "Special" tab choice 004 in the Wolf gui that 
implements a crude matched filter, weighting the center of the bit cell 
most heavily. Nor have I used DSP filtering ahead of Wolf processing 
since I took that processing to be inherently narrow-band and I have no 
pre-detection overload issues. I do use Spectrum Laboratory with a 6-Hz 
brick-wall band pass filter when looking for NDBs and that really helps 
the CW IDs come through.

It would be great to have a 1600' longwire like Steve but that won't 
happen unless/until I more, hi.

I see XR was on last night but the lightning QRN was so bad here I 
couldn't even detect MP. Will listen your way tonight if things calm 
down. HF has been dull here (I've run WSPR on 12 meters all day with 
only a handful of stations heard/hearing me), but interestingly 
occasional big signals have come through from South America on 6 meters.
