The 185.3 kHz watering hole was fairly good last night here in NE
Illinois. Beacon MP was strong and CV was in and out. Also saw several
Ws and Ms from beacon WM. That was before 0800Z, 2/26/09. After that the
receiver was tuned to 184.5091 kHz, QRSS-60 for VO1NA since that hasn't
been done for awhile. Signals were noted during two periods: (1) around
0815Z four QRSS-75 dashes came through (the end of the 1 and the
beginning of N in the ID) and (2) around 1030Z "1N" was fully copied
(using QRSS-120). The "A" might have come through too but static crashes
had really picked up by then. Nice to find Joe's beacon still QRV.
