[Lowfer] ID a transformer

Hi Guys,

I need some help in identifying a transformer.  It's a vintage Hammond, a black cube about 2 inches on a
side and has 4 terminals.  One pair is labeled 250 and the other pair 500.  I have a "contact" at the
Hammond factory and even he couldn't find any specs that old in their files and archives.
The plate on it bears the number 28656.  Any and all help appreciated.
