Thanks for pointing that out J.B. I get brain bog sometimes. I even
had to take a piece of wire and wind it around a jug, then turn it
upside down, only to find out that " Hey !! the wire IS still going
in the same direction " ..... DUUUUHHHH .....hi - hi.
But as I always am; If I think I have goofed up something, it will
drive me nuts until I can read enough to convince me one way or
the other. So I began googleing series inductors, read some about
series-opposing windings, which is what I have with the loading coil
with reverse windings. But then as I continued reading more material,
I read about Mutual Inductance between series inductors, and as you
pointed out; the spacing between my Variometer, and Center Loading
coil, which is about 15 feet, will have negligible, if any effect
at all in the antenna line. Plus I finally thought; " The Variometer
has 2.35 Milli-Henries of Inductance, so my 88 Micro-Henry Center
Loading Coil don't have a whole lot to oppose with, hi - hi ....
73 to OM and HNY all the way ::::
