[Lowfer] LITZ wire price

Thankd Todd:

You are correct, I was planning to wind an extra loading coil
for my lowfer beacon. I am currently using insulated 30 guage
wire wound on a paint bucket, and a plastic coffee can and so
far I haven't experienced any coil warmth at all. But. it's
only 1 watt at 185 KHz. So if the 20/40 LITZ would be the
equivalent of #27, then I would be going to a larger wire
than I'm using now, and probably at a lower resistance.
The resistance of the current setup is 5.4 Ohms for a total
of 2.51 Milli-Henries ( measurements include the LP Filter ).
I didn't think the amperage would be a problem at this
power level though.

73 to you :::
