Congratulations Jay on your reception and thanks to all the others who
looked for our beacon over night. We're all envious of your receive
setup, so aptly described by W1TAG, hi!

Andy you have the frequency right on. I'm starting with an OCXO netted
on the bench to 10 MHz via GPS and dividing down to get 185.185185...
kHz. Hope to switch to a N3ZI synthesizer driven by 4 MHz over summer so
I can move the beacon to the watering hole at 185.3 kHz.

Dick, my parents lived in Camp Hill for many years so hope I can get a
better signal your way one of these nights. I've found the automatic
capture feature of ARGO very useful so you don't have to stay up all night.

I have no desense problem from SIW because it's over 20 miles away from
the home QTH. Listened again last night for SJ and concluded it is still
on the air, though not sure it's on 24/7. Using QRSS20 I copied the last
two dits of S and a full J around 0430Z at 186.8492 kHz, just when I
started looking. After that just saw only a few pieces of signal and
instead a spurious wobbly interference line right on top. Checking
receptions from last year I see the same interference line, but SJ was a
bit higher in frequency so it didn't matter. Perhaps I'll try tonight
with an e-probe antenna instead of the loop to see if that gives less
response to the interference.
