[Lowfer] Homebrewed SSB Filter question - Clarification

Just another random thought, here. If memory serves, both Dex and Lyle 
at one time ran SSB exciters made with diode balanced modulators 
(SBL-3?) and LC filters to attenuate the unwanted sideband. I say 
"attenuate", rather than "remove". At 1 watt, you're hardly going to 
interfere with anyone due to the other sideband being present. My guess 
is that if you dropped it by 20 dB, you'd have a clean-enough signal for 
that non-linear PA.

You won't see LC filters in an SSB generator at HF, but down here in the 
cellar, easily-achievable Q's have a tight bandwidth.
