    I had thought of getting a 3586 or a 3746 selective level meter.  A
local junk yard wanted far too much for the ones that they had.  Since I
just wanted it as a generator and null indicator for making antenna
impedance measurements with a GR bridge, I devised a simple synchronous null
detector.  Works just fine with any generator that I have together with any
meter available, and it cost next to nothing since all the parts were
already here.  I still wouldn't mind having the nicer HP gear, but this
works well enough until I find one that's in my price range.
