Reminds me of years ago in BC engineering work.  The Daytimer 
stations had to close down
at night.  This offered a lot of possibilities for MF experimenting 
(160 meters) and
LF (not any Part 5 experimenters then that I knew of).

However, since then, the FCC authorized Daytimers to be on the air 24 
hours, (ignoring the laws of propagation), albeit with reduced 
power.  There went the nighttime experimenting...:-(
