Hey Bill, Group,

Understand, it was just a thought as on prior loops I had to remove turns having over wound them. On this one there are not a lot of turns to begin with for 600M, say, 7 turns (41 feet Cir.) and mica caps as needed.

I'm thinking that there might be problems in the loop balance when one has unterminated turns, and this could cause an unwanted sensitivity to the E-field of the received signal - hence a poor null. An unshielded loop has to be ballanced, capacity-wise, to its surroundings - and this is critical. Perhaps others have tried this and could comment.
