Hi All,

Well I see by JB's reply to my call to Mike I didn't do right on changing the TO: designation properly. Oh, I did place Mike's addr in there, but this emailer requires a precise agility to eliminate a prior one. Score another one for Emailer VS user.

So let me say I've taken the LF antenna down and pulled up the radial "system" for the growing season. Replacing said ant. w/ a 40M dipole which is intended for summer cw activity. But, not being on 40M for a few years, was surprised a the dearth 40 cw after frist hoisting the new dipole. Had I wrongly measured a 40M dipole -- as if that should matter to this degree :-) No, just the spin of the bottle as it was, band dead at about the 3pm launching time. Still, later the cw signals started, not that many, but some activity. Ha, nothing local, usual 200-400 mile stuff. Take note: lot's of emptiness in the cw partition. New easy licensing taking a toll?

No report of 600M activity as I had hoped, using the balanced wire fed-dipole as LF ant. Will watch here for other's reports. Possibly future trys at same.

Come the falling leaves I hope to again be active and alert for part-15 activity.

Well, it's time to hit the Send. Let's see if this mail sees it's mark ;-)

Cheers -- Peter
