giday  all.       My 15yrs experience on lf 181 khz you dont really need  loading coils on recieving in the antennae set up. providing you have a very high z impedance input preamp at base of vertical.. Its the matching of hi z load that is required..   vertical antennaes is still the best for recieving.   horizontal  wires ground cancellation takes place on recieving just the same as it does on transmitting...   george  zl3pn   73s
