Hello John, 

Excellent point, that I did not connect with.  I am still thinking about 
microwaves

The receiver with signal processing (PC) system is not the limiting 
factor, the environmental noise is.
Any antenna and the environmental noise continues to be the limiting 
factor on the S/N.
