Yeeks! Now Mike's got us thinking what if... I also tried to raise his site from my list and NG.
It was working within a few weeks back.
But for Sean: However you find "Lyle's" site the simple LowFER tx there uses a easy to find crystal at a higher frequency, say one for 5.nnn MHz. This freq is divided by an appropriate factor in the IC divider to the desired LF output. This is all explained within the article. It's very simple and cheap. The "traditional" way would involve finding an appropriate x-tal (not easy). However, should you wish to browse x-tals, see Nebraska Surplus Sales, they have a large collection.
One reco: before building a rig, get a firm grounding on receiving the handful of existing LF signals on the air (see LWCA sit for frequencies) and software for receiving same. Oh, you'll need a very good antenna for transmitting. (Flame suit required on last topic ;-))

Did something happen to Lyle? His site has been there for many years and
now seeing it gone?
