Thanks very much for the info. Give a little description of how you're 
coupling into the antenna. Also, is the 2.0 amps the actual current in 
the loop, or the current measured on the transmitter side of the 
matching network?

A loop that size should have an RF resistance on the order of 1 ohm, 
assuming a reasonable conductor size. Almost all of that is loss...the 
actual radiation resistance will be in micro-ohms. With a resistance of 
1 ohm, the antenna current would be 10A for 100 watts. So, either 
something is wrong in the tuning/coupling process, or there's a lot of 
extra loss in the loop wire. What are you using for the loop itself?
