John,
Here is some info on my station.  I have a loop that is 40 feet high and 60
feet horizontal.  It is broadside to East and West.
I made some measurements this afternoon and it raises some questions. I am
wondering what impedance my antenna tuning is presenting to the transmitter.


Take a look at these measurements and let me know what  you think.
My guess is that the antenna tuning unit impedance is much lower than 50
ohms.

 These following measurements are into a 50 ohm dummy load:
RF amps 1.7
144 watts output
DC volts = 43
DC current = 3.75 amps
That calculates to 161 watts input and 144 watts output



These following measurements are into my antenna:
RF amps 2.0
DC volts = 43
DC current = 4.4 amps
Power input = 189 watts
I am not sure what Z that the tuner is presenting so I can't determine the
exact power output.
