I managed to copy a very weak "X" on 137.777 kHz in the hour before dawn 
this morning. That's the sort of copy I used to get at this time of year 
from (sniff) LEK, at a similar distance with 1 watt. Given Ted's copy on 
Bryce's screen (very good at mid-morning today), there's not much 
question that his antenna does not favor the E-W path. But on a quieter 
night, copy here in the east should be possible.
