Great stuff JB - I "did" the same sort of scary hand shaking mods on the 870 a few weeks back. Little difference here as the background noise daytime pushes only -95dBm and Singapore is blessed with no MW stations, in fact only a couple are audible on the car radio except early Mornings when I drive to work and listen to R Bangkok in English on 1575. But it will help in more temperate climates away from this (60 miles from) equatorial position.

LW sounds pretty lively this early evening  with R Mongolia on 264 KHz (not 261 as listed)  playing some form of tortured kat musak, rebros of R Russia/Kazak/Tajek every few tens of Khz means reasonable condx too.

DCF39 is appearing now here at 1300z some 2500Kms West of its local sunset point, and is "up" for some 13 hours fading some 2 hrs after local Singapore sunrise. Peaks have been very good over the past 24 hrs.

I continue to look for all sigs USA from 137 to 600K at pre dawn your local time and presuming no military on around LW at the mom I can cling to..
