In general an audio dsp unit like the SGC will be of very limited use on LF.
If you are interested in chasing NDBs you will be better off with a very narrow cw filter, i.f., audio or both. There are several audio filters in use by the NDB dxers which have a bandwidth of 10Hz or so.
If you are interested in dxing lowfer or experimental lf transmissions then you would use a computer soundcard program like ARGO or Spectran to sort out the signals.
The SGC might be good if you are trying to hear voice transmissions such as longwave broadcasts from Europe.
