[Lowfer] Kenwood TS440 LF Mod

I would like to give JB a hand in doing the mod to the TS440 - apparently a
bypass or removal of an MF/LF pad. He apparently has somewhere between 20
and 50 dB of attenuation on LF - which is his primary listening interest, of
course ! 
Does anyone have a link to; or a copy of the instructions for this mod ?

I have found one - described as an MF ( 500khz - 1600 kHz ) Broadcast band
pad removal - Is this the guilty party ?
