I built this transverter
http://www.we0h.us/Amateur_Radio_stuff/HF_LF_Transmit_Converter/HF_LF_Transmit_Converter.jpg
and it works excellent with my TS-930's transverter port. I changed the
HF input to just couple in the transverter signal without all the high
level attenuator components shown on the drawing. I also added a 7th
order chevy lowpass filter between the mixer and the opamp stage. Tuned
for 515kc. It drives this FET amp http://www.500kc.com/N4ICK/index.htm
with the oscillator stage left out and adding a 74HC244 line driver
between the 74HC00 NAND and the FET driver IC. This gave me some signal
shaping to eliminate any ringing after the 7400 IC stage. Everything is
referenced off of a 3mc oven oscillator.
This is my transverter receive section

I use a modified lowpass filter on the input tuned for 515kc. It makes
for a super hot receiver good from 515kc down to DC.
