Fritz Raab W1FR has asked me to post the following announcement:
WD2XSH ADDITIONS
Sometime this summer, the ARRL 500-kHz experiment file a request to to
make substitutes, additions, and changes to the WD2XSH experimental license.
The primary goal of WD2XSH is to pave the way for a new amateur band.
To this end, our objectives include demonstrating
(1) No harmful interference,
(2) Regional ground-wave communication for emergency back-haul.
(3) Use of narrow-band digital techniques.
Selection of new stations will be based upon the following criteria
(the more, the better):
(1) Past service to the experiment,
(2) Expansion of geographic coverage,
(3) Location that helps with ground-wave tests, and
(4) Ability to use narrowband digital modes.
New additions to WD2XSH will be expected
(1) To get on the air in no more than three months,
(2) To participate in designated activities, and
(3) To submit logs monthly in MS Excel format.
Information on WD2XSH can be found at
www.500kc.com.
Operators interested in joining the experiment should download the
information form on the web site, supply the requested information, and send
it as a .TXT file to
