Exactly.  I'm not talking about omitting ID...just saying there's no need
for QRSS.  Depending on circumstances, a burst of Morse at 20wpm or so, say
once every two minutes, would either not show up at all on the waterfall, or
would provide a pip to serve as confirmation that one is still observing the
intended carrier.
