Aw, exciting, Eric. Love a building project and commenting on one from
the harsh realities of a pc terminal.

Good idea on the 20-footers. Gee, did ya ask for those 40s? Heh-heh.
Ya, one home store here has big 20s. I even erected on in the isle -
almost clobbered a mercury light.

Pay good attention to the pulley arrangements. On mine I ran into a
few jams w/ stuck pulleys and had to bring that end down a few times.
Solved it using 3-inch enclosed plastic pulleys and 5/32 poly line for
the section that runs through them, keeps it from jamming. Also, don't
forget Dex's idea of weed line. I'm using that too as a "Y" line between
each outer spreader and the pull lines(2 on one end and one on the
other). Takes some time to work with it. I also have used small pieces
of 1/4 CU tubing as ferrules (?) to secure the loops made of the weed
line. Very light and strong.

On that down line ... I faced the same issue (not looking "right") my
prior setup had a 10-foot raised loading coil w/ a pigtail out the top.
Then from a ladder propped on the loading coil prop 4X4 I make the
connect to the down line using pre-soldered spade clips. I used a split
loading coil arrangement(Let's see, its acid core, again <g>) My present
setup has 1 mH up at the "Tee" and a bunch at ground level. This is not
considered permanent, though.

Keep the details coming, Eric, for us Walter Mittys already with -10
deg numbed hands.

Yes, pictures. We demand proof of any January-February antenna
projects.

Cheers,
Peter
