[Lowfer] Connecting to Loop

I have taps on almost every turn of my transformers so I can fully adjust
the turns ratio as needed to match the final to the loops impedance as well
as setting the power input of the final at a specific VCC level. I suggested
4-8 turns, as his loop impedance will most likely be different than mine. He
can select the appropriate tap position that fits his installation.

I would also recommend reading Bill's two Loop documents if you can find
them on the Internet. They are on Mike Staines server which I don't know the
URL of.

Mike, there's a lot of good reasons why these things didn't find wide
acceptance even for heavily treed environments in the early lowfer days.
They are very simple to install (well, once one gains some archery skills
and doesn't mind a certain amount of, what shall I say ..... co-lateral
damage <G>) but tricky to connect to unless one pays real close attention
the turns ratios and core types. One turn on the core makes a lot of
difference, so it helps to know what the math says. Your "4 to 8 turns" can
be the difference between a 1w input and 16w input!
