If you subscribe to emails on the Groups, you will post and read the
messages in your email program locally. I never go to the Groups site unless
I am doing management or need to dig through the past posts or files or
check polls or look at pictures or find a specific member to contact
directly.

Subject: Re: [Lowfer] Do you Yahoo!?

I consider myself fortunate in belonging to only one Yahoo group. The little
ads that take up as much space as the messages are only a minor irritation,
but I get ticked when a full-page ad pops up and I have to hit the "back"
button in order to get to the next message in the thread. And I get *really*
irritated when I have to re-enter my user name and password to post a
message to the group. Perhaps that helps to discourage those who feel a need
to send cutesy replies to every message, but on the reflector, I can take
care of that with my Spam filter. As for posting URLs, I've never had a
problem on the LowFER reflector.

I vote for sticking with the reflector -- if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Lyle, K0LR
