  I maybe wrong, but those seem to be the symptoms of a sound card 
unable to sample
at 5512 Hz. Argo uses 11025 Hz when in "full band view " mode, with 
vertical scrolling.
Going to horizontal, it switches to 5512 Hz. I have found some sound 
cards unable of this
sampling rate.
Maybe in a next version I should keep 11025 Hz also for the horizontal 
modes, even if this
would mean more CPU load to keep the same resolution (unless I will do a 
decimation
like in Jason...)
