Amen to that Art,
many of the virii specifically target Outlook Express, so I
have always used Eudora on my WinDoze boxes. Better
email filtering than the MS program too. Netscape Communicator's
email and usenet client's ain't half bad either.
Got to comment on Sygate - I have used it for good while too, liked
the "lite" version so well I bought the full package. Good firewall
program and keeps a decent to understand log of what it has done
and what has tried to access your machine and vice versa.
The home network is down to one PC now though, the rest are Macs.
I've not noticed any problem with spyware or viruses sneaking onto them.
Keeping a decent firewall like Sygate, and keeping your Norton or Macafee
definitions current is the best defence, and cheaper than going out
and buying a Mac, unless, like me, you simply just wanted to. heehee.
Tom
(OK, OK, I'll stop preaching about Macs already!)
