Nice Aurora in CT about 2230Z. Not much visible at the moment.
Have been using unshielded CAT5 for feedline to the multiturn unshielded
loops here for several years and it works just fine. Recently switched from
CAT5 to RG-58 on the octoloop in preperation for future installation of a
preamplifier at the loop. Had both feedlines available and made several A-B
tests over the course of two days. Could tell no difference on noise pickup
and signal level was within 1 or 2 dB - probably due to slightly different
transformer setups in line.
