Do you suppose it affected the take off angle of the radiation and that was
what was seen at a distance? My guess is yes.

Good to read that something works according to theory, Laurence. Did you
know that Bill Cantrell's TEXAS beacon didn't see much of a change in
antenna current when he seasonally rolled up the chicken wire (the 6db
chichen wire, as I used to call it)? Bill Bowers ~150 miles away, however,
always saw the 6db. Go figure.
