Eric, that's true of the HiFer band. This is 8 times lower in freq and about 
10 times higher in freq compared to the LowFer band. I don't think there has 
been enough QRSSing going on at 1700k so far  to determine the best mode. 
Should be interesting! I checked band out again a few nights ago and there 
were a lot of empty QRSS20 screens above 1703k. Less local noise too.
