>>Tilletson carbs - your showing your age - I think we went upper class to
>>"Mckunis" in the late 70's!!

Oh Yah, most snowmobile manufacturers changed over to MIKs by 1976. I
converted my '73 TNT from twin Tillotsons to twin Mikunis and never had any
more vapor lock during spring conditions. Even converted the lan over, and
found the reliability much better. I was forever taking the tillotsons
apart for cleaning - even on the trail. I'll never forget the time I towed
my first machine ('67 Olympic)out to Colorado and right off the bat was
having vapor lock problems. Took a look at the gas filter and it was plugged
up with gold dust that worked its way into the tank on the drive across the
state.

>I remember those carbs from the early 70's on the Rupp Nitro's.

Some of the manufactures got the 'word' earlier than others. Polaris was
using them on most models in 1970. Man I can't wait to get out there. Last
year was super. That new suspension allows you to ride 100 tough miles
without feeling worn out.
