To my last mention of a ground screen, it was from the Raney reprint
(1990) in Lowdown (9-03). In it he favored a chicken wire screen based
on empirical tests w/ BA a few hundred miles west of him. Lacking that
he liked radial lengths equal to vertical height plus 1.5 times the
tophat dia. How many he didn't say but had talked about his 24 60-foot,
no. 18 stranded wire radials, which raised his ant "I" by 10 ma over a
single gnd. rod., a 20% increase.

Lowdown -- Who can tell me how to find info in the Aug, Sep issues of
LD to find the pictures on the LWCA Web site, as was suggested by JD /
JA (?) ?
