Kurt, thanks for the info on soldering aluminum.  I've never had any success 
in this.

I hope you are speaking for only your local Home Depot. I find the opposite 
to be true for the two I frequent in this area. The floor people are always 
helpful in finding anything I've needed and have been the source of much 
useful information on the installation and use of these items.
