Peter, I think it was closer to a yard wide (his property width, that is).

I also remember Bill B. for his many articles in the LD (Lowdown) where he 
tediously determined the best ways to build loading coils and other Lowfer 
antenna components (length/diameter ratios, Litz wire, types of coil forms, 
types of wire laydown, turns spacing, etc). A lot of guys benefited from 
these articles, including myself.
