Hi, Bow,

This reply will probably draw laughter from the rest of the crowd, because
the only receiver I have stable enough to do QRSS work is my home stero
system tuned to AM. It was with this system and my DDS exciter (acting as
a BFO) that I made the KFI capture. That is the ONLY narrow-band capture
I've ever made.

But since no one else has answered your question, let me try:

Argo displays the frequency of the audio received. This can be
callibrated with a known source and the Argo display can be tweaked to
then show whatever you want ... some make it show "0 Hz" on the center
frequency they want to watch, and others make it show something like "300"
in the center when monitoring 185.300 and center on that frequency. Then,
a signal at 301 on the screen is at 185.301 kHz.

With Argo 134 (the version I have) ... and this probably comes with other
versions ... is the file ArgoTuning.txt. Look in the directory (or FOLDER
... I keep forgetting .. WINDOWS!) where you unzipped argo and you should
see this file. I see that it is actually a response from Lyle to an email
sent by me last February on "rx setup" and is a very detailed explanation
of what I've just touched on here. Tells you how to do it.

Please let me know if you don't have this file and I'll get it to you.

Others who know better, please expand on this for us, and tell me where
(and if) I'm wrong, because I'm about to start doing more listening, too.

Bow and I appreciate it.

Thanks,
Eric
