Doug

Welcome back. Look forward to watching for your beacon again.

You might want to consider a K1EL keyer chip part number K1D. For $10 or =
so delivered and almost no peripheral components it's hard to beat. I =
switched over to one a while ago and am sorry I didn't do so sooner.

  Subject: [Lowfer] QRSS v. 2.05

Returning to Medfer/Lowfer monitoring and beaconing after the contest
season is over or maybe even sooner. Been doing my contesting and =
"Low
Band Monitor" challenge thing. Completed the 160M WAC on Oct. 12, but
have been stuck at 66 countries on 80M for last 8 days with one solar
  storm after another.
With a break from the 80M DXing, I thought I'd try running QRSS on my
broken laptop parallel port since I blew the serial port last year. I
downloaded the new version of QRSS (v. 2.05,)and it doesn't seem to
provide for a parallel port interface?????
Also, is the "BC547c or eqv" equivalent to the 2N2222. I have lots of
  them around.
