Just wait for the nice snow to fall over there. The ground is covered and
the salt trucks are out in force.

Subject: [Lowfer] Safety Climbing Belt
Was doing tower work this weekend before Sunday's all day rains came in
and was using a new ONV safety belt, as reco'd by Dex and adv'd in QST.
Took about 3 weeks for delivery. Ah, the secure feeling and ability to
work with both hands make using one on a tower a must. The other handy
item was a tool pouch that hangs from its own belt, no more going thru
tight pockets feeling for this and that. Anything heavy I haul up via a
pre-attached rope, drag that up tied to my belt, then once on top and
secured, I pull that item up on the rope.
After getting the top section up from which to tie the one end of a T
via rope and pulleys, I pulled the old T up for a try. All worked fine,
the T is higher and horizontal. But now I want to replace it using all
AL for lightness. AL "ground wire" and Al 8 foot spreaders will make up
the new one. The current one is CU wire and PVC pipe.
Spent more time trimming nearby trees to remove those "15K resisters"
that accumulate over the years.
The Aurora was reported here Thursday night at 11P, but since then it's
been overcast at night
