[Lowfer] Concerns on Post

My apologies to all. It never occurred to me that any member of a group that
had been operating carefully under Part 15 rules would ever consider some
sort of 'scoflaw' action and I certainly do not condone such action either.
However, my remarks could be interpreted differently and I do not wish that
to be the case. I accept the criticism of Peter Barick and John Andrews
suggesting that my remarks in this regard were intemperate, and looking back
on them I agree.
The text they identified was,
"I am sorely tempted to suggest that someone try deliberately to
interfere with a PLC signal to see if one could actually do it even if you
tried using
1 watt ERP. If someone does this, please do it at 160-190 kHz so that the
discussion afterward (success or not) concentrates on a better piece of LF
spectrum. "
I did, however, have a separate paragraph immediately following that stated,
" *** Note*** I said, "sorely tempted..." NOT "Someone should ... " I don't
think this is one of those things that justifies 'civil disobedience'. "
Not wanting to encourage anyone to do any unlawful act, let me withdraw both
of those paragraphs from the consideration of those on this reflector.
On the matter of someone noting and using postings on this reflector to
consider as a part of a rule making action, I believe we run little risk
that anyone making such decisions will have thoughtfully reviewed and
considered the comments of the LOWFER posting group and probably they will
never have seen the comments.
Happily, with or without rule making, you will be able to continue your Part
15 operations on LF --- for the moment.
