Hi Peter,

You might try to hear AZ from Tucson on 13554.43 (average).
I have heard this HiFer every day here in southern Oregon since mid January
of this year. The distance to Illinois from Tucson is not that much more
than it is to here.
AZ is currently strongest around 8:00 PM local (Oregon) time. I have been
watching for AZ with Argo in 3sec. mode in spite of the fact it is 12 WPM
CW. I just watch for some "snake rattles" marching across and then I see if
it is audible.
Someday, somehow-- somebody will hear my beacon DER, currently about
13561.61 and sending about 10 WPM 24/7
