"Coax ain't coax all the tme"!!

That is a Trumism,  By the great Clarence P. Troemel of Bell system ATT,
SNET, TCI, Comcast, etc.

Although he explained in somewhat more technical terms.

Coax screen effectiveness drops off dramatically at lower frequencies- a
well balanced pair will win hands down at VF and quite a bit higher.  But
remember that terminations have to be balanced as well-otherwise all bets
are off. Overall performance is determined by the design of both the cable
itself and the balance of the terminations.
